Project Summary
‘Couch Sit’ was a deliberately provocative research project, asking the question - is non-consumer behaviour excluded from active street frontages, and if so, by what mechanisms?

11.00AM: We placed our red couch on the footpath of the Southern side of Collins Street, near the intersection with Elizabeth Street.

1.00PM: Bank Manager of HSBC confronts couch sitters (pictured).

3:00PM: Senior Constable Bothma of Victoria Police asks us to remove the couch from Collins Street.
